How concept of consumer surplus is associated with managerial decision in Sport organization?

Comments

  1. The most important part of any sport organization is consumers.so the management of those organization when they get a decision they will consider about consumer surplus.because fans will come and they will join with organization if they have surplus.otherwise they will not.Humans are always seeking surplus. In sport area managers should know this logic.if they forget this they will fail.consumers will not satisfy their outcome..

i'm not superb in economics..this is brief idea..i will comment later..

  3. Firstly, if we define consumer surplus; is the difference between the total amount that consumers are willing and able to pay for a good or a service and the total amount that they actually do pay.
I have read and like to mention here an example for this. There is a statement that some sports consumers are saying the prices for tickets are too low in the "All England Tennis club" which runs annual Wimblrdon championships. It indicates consumers are ready to get tickets with a high price than the present price. Management can get a hint of the demand they have and they can take managerial decisions to enhance their profit(ex:- price increasing). Likewise if sport organisation could be able to identify the consumer surplus they are able to get more benifits for the organization.because consumers are prepared to pay untill the upper level of price in the demand curve.
sir, will you be able to correct my answer ?

  4. yes your statement is correct, if we can drive the demand curve for the tickets, it will be represented the consumers' choices. i t can be seen in our life also, when we go the market some prices which are priced by market forces are below what we hope to pay, at that time we can enjoy consumer's surplus,
thank for your consideration on this topic
